Dhanil N B has spent two decades at the frontier of Indian filmmaking. Arriving in Mumbai in 2006 just as Bollywood entered its digital era, he helped pioneer the transition — editing feature films at Quality Cine Labs, supervising VFX for the colourisation of the 1964 classic Haqueeqat, and researching stereoscopic 3D years before it became mainstream, serving as stereographer on the 3D feature Mumbai 125 KM.
He went on to direct advertisement films as a creative director and produce programming for Star Sports India, with experimental work previewed at Cannes. For the past several years, Dhanil has been researching AI video production — exploring what generative AI makes possible for movies, OTT and advertising. Saravanabhava Studios is the result: a studio built to take India's AI filmmaking possibilities to the world.
